FAQs

A few details…

  • We will connect with you for info we need regarding anyone receiving services.

  • We will send you a scheduling link, or message you for your bridal preview appointment booking, and your hair extensions color matching appointment (if applicable)

How to prep…

  • Two months before, and then three days before your wedding we will re confirm with you. At this time we will also send you your schedule and selections hair/makeup prep list so you know exactly how to prepare and be ready for your services.

For your big day…

  • We help create with you a customized schedule for your wedding morning to help everything go smoothly.

  • Your stylist(s) will arrive early (15 minutes before the arrival time for their set-up).

  • It may be possible to add people/services with at least 30 days notice before your booked wedding date. However it is NOT possible to subtract service fees from a package you have already booked. (This is because of the increasing number of clients that request the same service date).

We book clients on a first come first serve basis. If you wish to add services, or people to your package please ask us and we will check the availability of our pro team.

  • Usually we perform preview appointments at Aspen Salon in Provo, UT. If you wish to have us travel to you for your preview appointment this can be arranged with advanced notice and an additional fee.

On the wedding morning we travel to you so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your wedding hairstyling/makeup experience.

  • Hair length and thickness or style choice does not determine or change prices. All contracted prices are firm.

  • Because we offer high quality and want you to have a relaxing morning, on average we allot about 1.5 hours per mother, bridesmaid, guest etc, for hair and then also for makeup. We allot about 2.5 hours for each service for the bride (for hairstyling, and 2.5 hours for makeup). Your stylist(s) will also require a 30 minute setup time before the beginning of your first appointment. (Also, our stylist (s) will arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled setup time.)

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer trials prior to you booking. This is because we can't guarantee your date will still be available. We would hate for you to love your hair at the trial/preview appointment, which we are confident you would, and then us not be able to style your hair or makeup for the wedding.

    Consider this:

Trials are to show you a preview of your bridal hair, not to test out your stylist. We offer complementary, in person or video consultations for you to get to know us, do a brief review of your preferences, and for you to decide if we are the stylists you wish to spend your wedding day with.

  • We stick to a system of first come first serve. We receive multiple requests for the same date therefore we cannot hold any wedding bookings without a signed contract & full payment.

  • Our minimum booking requires at least one of our complete hair or makeup packages.

We receive multiple inquiries for the same date and we can only work 1 - 2 weddings per date at this time. Many dates fill 6 - 12 months in advance.

Credit for services you have paid for and are no longer needed may be used toward extra services such as extension purchase, new add-on services, preview appointments for additional wedding party guests etc.

  • Contact Aspen Salon in Provo for special event service pricing.

  • On occasion we may have an apprentice shadowing us. If this is the case we will let you know before hand. Assistants are hired based on the number of services per booking, and assistant availability.

  • Our bridal packages include 10 miles of travel, per stylist, free of charge. Anything over 10 miles starting and ending with Aspen Salon in Provo is $1.50 per mile for every mile thereafter.

If location is over 2 hours from Aspen Salon in Provo a hotel/air bnb is required for the night before the wedding.

  • If you want long lasting waves, any half up/ half down style with volume, a long woven boho braid, or a big voluminous updo, usually clip-in extensions are recommended to add volume to the styles, whereas without them, the hair can look thin and spindly at the ends, not look as voluminous, or have less impressive dimension.

Beaded/sewn in rows are not advised for any type of updo. We are unable to camouflage the install areas correctly. For this reason, we only suggest full extension installs for hairstyles that will be worn completely down. Otherwise, clip in extensions are your best option.

  • Yes, if they really are 100% remi human hair, otherwise we will not be able to use them. Otherwise, we are happy to color match you and help order clipping Extensions from West Ivie Hair Co., Bellami, and Luxy.
